Epic! The BEST Roast Beef Poboy in the South! You'll never taste another like it...good people, hard workers, open to anyone. -by far the most down home welcoming feeling I would come to bring any outsiders . Those who've never tasted their fries and poboy dipped in their brown sauce gravy. - Oh! And their ice cream! W0W!
Visited family in West Monroe last weekend and tried Ray's PeGe for the first time (they'd all been going their whole life.) SO GOOD! Such a cool little place and the service was excellent! Everyone was so nice and OMG the food was awesome! We shared: a roast beef AND a fried shrimp po boy, fried okra and French fries. That GRAVY.... Wow, delicious! Also got a piece of strawberry cake for desert. YUM!
I grew up on Mr Rays gravy and curlyQ's - every time I come home- it's one of the first places I eat. I know Mr ray don't own it any longer- hasn't for yrs- but for the most part - it's the same!!!
Dropped in here for lunch and had the beef tip lunch plate with green beans and turnip greens. Oh my Goodness!!!!! This was the best beef tips I have ever had!!!! This is the locals hangout for meals. Small seating area but the flow was fast and the food is amazing!!!! This what the south is known for good food and great people that love to cook awesome food. I would strongly suggest you drop in here for a down home southern meal that won't disappoint!!!! I do not know one single person here and am passing thru for a convention at the civic center. Found the place by accident or was it divine intervention????
